Privacy notice
This notice covers what you type into the project brief form here. The site introduces teams to synthetic data vendors and can receive a fee from a vendor it introduces. Last revised 7 November 2026.
Who is responsible
Synthetic Data Companies (syntheticdatacompanies.com) is run by Joe Trewick trading as Grub Leads, which is responsible for your personal data. You can contact us at support@grubleads.com.
Synthetic Data Companies is a matching service. We do not do the work ourselves. We introduce you to a vendor we track, who pays us for the introduction.
Information collected through the brief
When you use the quote form we collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code
- the details you give about the project, such as data type, use, deployment and timing
- your IP address, the page you sent the form from, and the wording you agreed to
Purpose of the details you send
We use your details to find a synthetic data vendor that fits your project. We rely on your consent, which you give when you send the form.
We then contact you to tell you which vendors fit. Your details reach a vendor only after you have told us to go ahead. If we cannot find a vendor within a reasonable time, we tell you and delete your request.
If you stop part way through the form, we keep what you entered so far for the same purpose, and delete it if the request is not completed.
We do not send you marketing, and we do not sell your details to anyone else.
Where your details go
Your details go to:
- the vendor we name to you, and only after you agree
- the companies that host this website and store our records for us, under contracts that protect your data
How long it is kept
We keep your name, phone number, email address and IP address for 12 months, then delete them. We keep a record of the request without those details, so we can count how many requests the site receives.
Copies, corrections and deletion
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within 45 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first at support@grubleads.com.
Cookies on this site
We count visits with a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies or identify you. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Opting out under US state law
Because an introduced vendor can pay this site, several states would classify handing your contact details to that vendor as selling or sharing them. Ask us to stop at any point, by email or from our opt-out page, and we will note when the request arrived and the date we honored it.
Under certain state laws you can also learn which personal details we hold, get mistakes fixed, have records erased and use any of these rights without penalty. This site runs no ad targeting. It is meant for adults at work. Under-16s should not send briefs, and we would delete one if we learned of it.
Keeping evidence that you agreed
Claims under US calling and texting rules can arrive long after the fact, so for five years we retain evidence of consent: phone number, timestamp, IP address, the page used and the consent sentence as displayed. Names and email addresses still go when the retention period above ends.
